Kneeeeebaaah! Hey, what are the rules regarding foot- and leg-locks in your tourneys? I heard, the rules are a bit more strict about that in North America.

    Kerblam!

    Each tournament is different.

This was US Grappling’s advanced no-gi division, which means that all submissions are legal. Same with Grapplers Quest advanced and pro divisions, ADCC, and all NAGA no-gi divisions. In IBJJF events, no heel hooks are allowed at all, and knee bars and toeholds are only allowed at brown/black level. The FILA rules (which are the same all over the world) don’t allow heel hooks but they do allow kneebars and toeholds.
