What amazed me about the bushmen is that they REST in a deep squat. That, and their posture. They obviously don't spend enough time in front of computers!

Yay for Neil!!! I'm another example of the curative properties of exercise and weight lifting. I injured my back (the doctors claimed that all I did was pinch a nerve in my back but I'm thinking there was some disk injury as well considering the numbness and other issues in my leg) and could not stand, sit, or even walk. Through the efforts of my husband and son standing on either side of me, I taught myself to walk again without dragging my foot and then we signed up for ballroom dance lessons, which helped me retrain my leg and my foot in terms of where each part of my foot was and when to put what part down and so on. At first, I had lot a lot of muscle in one leg but by the end, I had stabilized it and went on to starting lifting weights and riding my bike; I have no back problems now.
