Right now I am training grappling five or six days a week, but haven't started specific ADCC training yet other than to be pretty insistent about my no-gi time. I talked to Mark about it tonight after class. We'll do some evaluation next week and decide what to work on over the next three months.

I think I have that book. Once in PT for an injury they had me put what looked like a blood pressure cuff under the small of my back and I had to activate those muscles and keep the gauge between 50 PSI and 55 PSI or something. It was stupid how hard that was. However, the good news is that those muscles (and other supporting muscles like it) respond very quickly. In a few weeks they'll be much stronger.

A fantastic book that reminds me of what you are talking about is Gymnastics Bodies by Coach Christopher Sommer. http://gymnasticbodies.com/

Thanks for posting frequently about your training-- seeing the process provides even more inspiration for the rest of us! Good luck!
