OMG.. your website is heavensent... i'm 33 and overly fat at 270lbs at 5ft.. i totally dig your view on how fat chicks like myself have a hard time conforming to normal exercise routine, especially if they are being voiced out by stick-thin people... i actually have already the dumbells and plates (i got them for my slim husband), just need the jump rope and a strong enough table or platform strong enough to hold me .... right on about the comment on weight limit on exercise machines designed to help you lose weight .... it's kinda funny trying to shop around for weight loss or exercise equipments that can actually hold a person who is more than 220lbs heavy (in my point of view if i weigh little like that i probably don't need to buy the stupid machine anyway... sigh.. but anyway, i'm glad i found your site.. so amazing and helpful.

Hey Krista,

I've been visiting your website now for a couple of years and it is just plain swell, especially now that I have decided to quit my local gym after 3 years and workout at home. So far I've got my dumbbells, jumprope and coffee table. You're right, you really can do a lot with a small amount of equipment. I throw in a some yoga and stretches, ride my bike fast for an hour or use my cross trainer in the basement and I'm feeling good and tired after working out. I also feel more free to experiment.I think of it as creative weight training. And last week I came in 2nd in a local uphill bike sprint. My first athletic victory ever, at the age of 51. Thanks so much for being there.

Just find heavy stuff and move it around!

Yeah! I'm actually working today and taking many breaks.

I filled a box with weights, books, and heavy stuff and slide it around with my legs, great quad work.
