Stumptuous Eats book update

So, for those of you who have been wondering Where the hell is that book that Krista said she would write? the answer is I’m working on it. 2011 is full speed ahead on what’s been informally titled Stumptuous Eats. Eventually, I will be moving book-related thoughts and excerpts to a new blog, so stay tuned and know it’s in process!

I’m quite excited about this book — it encapsulates everything I want to communicate to people about what it means to eat well, and several years of insight from coaching hundreds of clients from athletes to “real people”. It also captures everything I’ve felt and experienced through my own food journeys.

Plus there are fart jokes.

    I’ve been a fan of yours for years and like all of your readers look forward to your book. Are you thinking about self-publishing? I know you have a large platform, and already have interested agents and editors, but if you do decide to do it yourself, I have super-recent articles on my blog about self-formatting and self-publishing.     I’m looking forward to this book as well. I really miss the frequent updates and the rants, it would be really great if there was a stumptuous forum on the website. I know I’d be an embarrassingly frequent poster! ;)

    Seriously, I think a forum would be a great way for us to share our varied experiences – both good and bad. And would keep newbies on the line, as well. I would be happy to help anyway I can.

    In all seriousness though. A forum would be awesome, and I would love to help out. Plus, I’ve done a lot of temping at day-care centres and similar, I have a pretty good “I don’t know who started it but I know who’s gonna finish it” routine to whip out when primal eaters and vegans collide.

    I think a forum would be great. I have NO ONE to share my experiences with in the real world. My female friends don’t get it (after all, it’s time to “lengthen” and “tone” my muscles with the bouncy ball and 5 lb weights!–sorry for the sarcasm). My husband gets tired of hearing about my latest gym accomplishment, as he is an accomplished couch sitter, not gym rat. It would be great to have a place to turn to ask questions or say, “Hey, I hit BW today on snatches!!”
