“Fitness is about generating the forces needed to thrive and survive — a fact that doesn’t change as we age. The carnival act/cardio groupies find creative ways to miss that point.”

“carnival act/cardio groupies” ? hmmm… I don’t know what this guy is referring to, but he sounds a bit overly effectiveness focused for me.

You know, man does not live by bread alone. I exercise, mostly, because it makes me feel good. I do want to be healthy and thrive and survive, so I do weight lifting, and cardio, and stretching so I can “Generate those forces” but I also love dancing and moving just because it’s FUN. I mean, what is the point of surviving if you’re not having fun while you are alive?

I also walk to relieve stress, and stretch in the morning because it feels nice. Sometimes I just like to be a creature and move how I like to because I like to without being so analytical about it.

I don’t know what he is referring to when he mentions the “carnival act…groupies” but that sure sounds fun to me!

Braidwood, notice the “thrive” component as well.
