Thanks so much for this interview! I cannot wait to see the film. I wish Cheryl would go on a speaking tour.

I have been a loyal reader of this site for several years and was always wishing for some in-person instruction for females. Thanks to Crossfit, I began to learn lifting. Of course, I visit this site often for reference. And now, I have the opportunity to take a weekly Olympic lifting class and I love all of it.

At the risk of sounding like a dumb-ass, I was moved to tears while watching this documentary. As someone who has spent her entire life struggling to look like those in the media, I have now found a new hero. :) Cheryl is comfortable with her body and the way it looks because it does the job she asks of it (loosely speaking). Further, she feeds it what it needs to get this job accomplished. I have spent the last 20 years denying mine the food it needs while resenting it because of the way it looks. While watching, I realized, I have it all backwards. :) Cheryl is my new hero! Thank you for giving me the chance to "meet" this tremendous woman.

Thanks for posting this. I loved reading it!
Cheryl is clearly a pioneer in the sport and is a huge inspiration to women like me who like pushing heavy things around just for fun... and to women who may not like weightlifting yet.
