Do you like to hang around with other chicks and talk about lifting heavy things? Me too!
Head on over to the most excellent Gubernatrix’s site for the Women’s Strength Symposium.

That was an interesting and informative read, thank you ! I have recently started lifting (free weights right now) and I love it. One thing I notice when I read articles about women being afraid to lift is that not much is mentioned about how our ancestors got through a day before modern conveniences. Think about the things pioneer women had to do just to run the household….chopping wood, carrying buckets of water, carrying tubs of laundry and the process of how they had to wash it, churning butter…I could go on but these women were strong and had to be ! And we have women now that the heaviest thing they lift is their computer bag or purse…and won’t lift because they do not want to be bulky ? PLEASE I love lifting, it makes me feel good and ABLE !
