I have a current injury which has been classified from my Physio as from Over-use. What it has come from exactly, well they are still trying to figure that out.

I have been to soooo many physios over the last couple of years, and just recently (after recieving no successful treatment) I have visited a top sports physio, who then sent me onto a top Sports Specialist Doctor. She had me take X-rays and an MRI. The results she said were underwhelming, and they were expecting more.

She commented that she believes it to be a type of over-use syndrome often seen in rowers, who especially tend to dip their hand when the row. i do (did). Also with all the heavy weight training/ dumbell/cable training I have done over the years, I can recall many times, I gripped for dear life the olympic bar/dumbells as I execute my movements. This is somethings he also believe can contribute to the kind of inflammation I have. I can recall many many times after lifting weights/olympic bars, the achy/sore feeling in my hands/forearms, and I thought it was a normal part of adjusting my grip strength.

For about 6 weeks now, I have been restricted to only training in movements where I can maintain a "nuetral wrist" whilst I receive on-going very expensive physio treatment. Weight training, and general pushing my body against it's "comfortable limits" is the anchor in my life, and you Krista will appreciate how incredibly hard it is for me that I have to sit out my fav movements till the Doc gives me the green light.

So I continue to have this constant tight feeling in my right hand, that I also get on and off sharp pain through my fingers, down the side of my hand. Generally it feels tired and achy at the end of the day. Yes I have a desk/computer job, and using the computer/typing does increase the pain. The pain comes and goes, but my right hand when compared to my left hand feel "tight" i.e when I extend the fingers they feel like they "bounce" back to a bent position which is more comfortable and natural right now.

I have a great physio now, and he vowed he will do his best to get to the bottom of it to get me back on track.

Im just curious to know if anyone out there has experienced similar injury/pain as what I am experiencing....? I appreciate any input you may have.....
