I'm actually the one teaching my boyfriend the ropes. Although very athletic, he's never been inside a gym. He's more of a group sports kind of guy. We have some equipment in the basement now and he likes to use it too. I just need to get him some heavier weights! One thing I really appreciate about him is how supportive he is. I've never had to worry about intimidating him or playing down my successes. He appreciates strong women and I appreciate him!

FYI. The links on this page no longer work.

Actually, the bf pointed me to your site! (I got a little misty -- what are the odds that I wound up with a guy who's something of a feminist?)
He's been great and I've made quite a bit of progress. I'm squatting and deadlifting four times what I did when I started.

If I am trying to get tone, without bulking up, how much weight should I lift? When is the weight getting so heavy that I am gaining to much muscle without burning the fat and getting lean muscles?
