I loved your response to the “feminine” question!!

I LOVED this; “Guilt is for people who can’t own their shit”.
Whenever I am asked about guilty pleasures, I say, ‘Why should I feel guilty about pleasure?’ Great interview!

I am so glad to hear you say “listen to your body”… my experience with overtraining (for competition ballroom dancing) led to a hip replacemeent last year.
Now I have my strength back I am listening to my body and “training” for life. I can carry the groceries from the car now, I can lift my 8 kilo cat up for a cuddle, I can move stuff around, I can walk down the street. The joy of being able to do these things again after being crippled with pain is hard to explain… Life is good.

Nice interview, Krista. As always, you’re a witty and eloquent advocate for female strength.
On a side note, I dropped in for a one-off workout at my old gym where I was a member for years, and I saw a photo of someone I’m pretty sure is you. Were you ever at Mid-City in Manhattan for an event?

@Simma, no, but I did eat my way through midcity Manhattan delis after a BJJ competition in Newark. Did the photo caption read, “YEARRR HERE BE THE STOMACH THAT WALKS LIKE A WOMAN”?

There was no caption. That lady sure did look like you. Back in your very short, cropped hair days.
